A: Civil Liberties-the freedom of a citizen to exercise customary rights, as of speech or assembly, without unwarranted or arbitrary interference by the government.

5. When do you feel civil liberties are infringed upon? Can you give another example of "fringing" on your civil liberties?

A: I feel that civil liberties are infringed on when we weren't allowed to carry our cellphones on us in school. Another example of fringing on your civil liberties is when you can't wear holes in your jeans.
